Wines without vines

To the naked eye, ingredients are the building blocks of food and drink. But what makes an ingredient?

The answer: molecules. Think of molecules as individual components that exist in a wide variety of plants, animals, and substances — like letters used to build words.

Just as words can be turned into stories, our team at Ava Winery identifies molecules responsible for tastes, smells, and colors, and combines them to create wine. No grapes necessary.

This allows us to create a more sustainable wine, requiring a fraction of the water and none of the pesticide; a more precise wine, with the ability to control every aspect of its flavor; a more consistent wine, shielded from the risk of poor vintages; and a more accessible, delicious wine that you'll drink over and over again — without breaking the bank.

We're a team of scientists, sommeliers, engineers, and operators with a shared love of wine, working furiously towards launch.

We can't wait to show you what we've been up to.
